Bio
My Story
I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. Following this, I completed my joint MBA/Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Texas Christian University as well as a Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies Graduate Certificate in Research and Pedagogy. My personal research agenda emphasizes promoting educational diversity and equity through school policy and organizational culture. Currently, I work both as a consultant and an adjunct professor. Consultancy is an opportunity to use my research emphasis to support the work of grant-funded projects, non-profit initiatives, and organizational evaluations, including clients such as the Iowa Department of Education and Texas Education Agency. As an adjunct professor, I am able to meaningfully interact with and mentor students. I serve as an adjunct professor in the Department of Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies as well as the College of Education and have had the opportunity to develop the following courses: Race and Equity in Education, School Finance and Economics, Community Engagement and Culturally Responsive Practices, Research in Education, Educational Program Evaluation & Research, and Ethics & Equity-oriented Educational Leadership.
